This 2-day seminar is designed for potential implementors of OPC products. The seminar covers technological fundamentals of the various OPC specifications and explains them in detail. All current and drafted specifications are discussed. Main focus is the Data Access Specification both for DCOM and XML and the Data eXchange specification. Other specifications are also presented on a sufficiently detailed level. Apart from that, another main point is the gathering of practical experience by the participants. The first day is dedicated to the presentation of specifications; a major portion of the second day is reserved to the development of a sample OPC Server and various OPC Clients.

The seminar is intended for potential implementors of OPC products, technical management, project managers, developers and product managers.

Previous Knowledge
You should bring general knowledge of programming in order to be able to follow the implementation procedures of clients and servers presented.
