The main objective of this seminar is to epxlain basic features and mechanisms of PROFIBUS DP.
Another focus will be bus system diagnostics using analysis tools. In practical exercises, participants will record and analyze different realistic communication scenarios using the PROFIBUS Monitor. We will also show you proven solution approaches that take into account your requirements and requests.

- Basic elements: topology, bus access, telegram structure
- Phases of communication (especially parameterization and testing of the configuration)
- Diagnosis transfer
- PROFIBUS DP/V1
- Acyclic services (MSAC_C1, MSAC_C2)

- Exercise: Communication using acyclic services
- PROFIBUS DP/V2
- Slave-to-slave communication
- Isochronous/synchronous data exchange

- Exercise: Bus traffic analysis of a DP/V2 application

- Overview of the architecture, elements and possible applications

Target group
This course is intended in particular for people who operate and manage plants that communicate via PROFIBUS DP. The seminar also addresses project managers and product managers as well as developers who create PROFIBUS-enabled devices and applications.
