Softings OPC tunnel makes a safe and simple way to network-crossing OPC communication possible. Until now frequently arising configuration problems with DCOM security settings belong to the past with the OPC Tunnel! You save time and unnecessary further inquiries with the manufacturer. The OPC tunnel removes all burdens, which can arise during the networking of OPC Clients and Servers on different computer platforms, in different network domains or in completely separated networks. Data exchange is high performance, durable and reliable. |

Fast commissioning with the Softing OPC Tunnel
OPC tunnel is a product of the Softing OPC Connector Tools. OPC Tunnel as a "DCOM bypass" makes efficient and durable communication between OPC components on networked computers possible. For that purpose OPC Tunnel is installed on both the OPC Client computer and OPC Server computer. Communication between Client- and Server-side OPC Tunnel installations is done by a TCP/IP connection, which can be encrypted optionally. Thus the data which is exchanged between the Client and Server applications will be 'tunnelled' over TCP/IP; DCOM is completely by-passed and the time-consuming and nerve-racking configuration of the DCOM security settings are finally eliminated. |
