eWON 4001 is the Advanced Industrial Modem-Router for the machine builder, OEM, infrastructure, utilities, and system integrator markets, offering full remote access to any PLC or automation device through its serial or Ethernet port. Seamlessly integrated with the PLC programming environment, eWON 4001 still monitors and collects data into internal tags while PLC maintenance is performed. eWON 4001 has both Web and FTP servers embedded as well as an independent alarm management system, data logging and Web synoptic capabilities.

Remote Maintenance & Alarms
Whether point-to-point or through internet, with its embedded PSTN or GSM/GPRS modem, eWON is your access point to field applications and your service gateway to perform Remote Maintenance on distant equipment. Once the call is established, your programming application accesses the PLC (or the device) transparently, from the programming port or from the Ethernet socket, as if it were in the room next door.

Also, polling the PLC variables to feed its memory tags with live data, eWON watches your automated process and eventually issues alarms and warnings by SMS, email or SNMP traps, letting you take corrective actions on-line using any standard web browser.
Remote Management & Data logging
Collecting data for statistics and later review (historical logging) or to analyse recent trends (real-time logging), eWON stores tag values in its internal database and passes them on at regular intervals or on alarms, by FTP or email (“push technology”), to higher end management systems such as SCADA, Historian, ERP, etc... Also accessible on user or client request (“pull technology”), eWON displays the data in graphs or exports them in various table formats.
TCP/IP Routing
With eWON’s embedded web server, you watch and control the production process on your own fully animated HMI, interacting with your automated application, from any standard web browser interface, locally or from remote.

viewON, the HMI editor for eWON, empowers you to create and upload your own HMI web pages within minutes, without any specific web skills, cutting short on delays and development costs. Through intuitive menus, using configurable animations, tools and libraries, viewON makes design of complex web page synoptics easy and straightforward.
